“What Is Going On…?”
…Is the one question I find myself asking at least once a day for the past two years. I know we all are aware of the current state of humanity/the world, so I’ll spare the unnecessary listing of tragedy. Learning how to navigate the world during such an overwhelming amount of loss and frustration has been a challenge, but I am learning more and more to be grateful for life each day. Investing in new hobbies that bring me joy such as dressmaking and gardening has allowed me to cultivate my creativity in new ways while yielding products I can take part in. Plus I end up with new skills that I can always improve, which in turn leads to more creativity! A lovely cycle that provides me with some light in these dim times.
As I gear up to make a huge lifestyle change, I look back on the lessons that I have dealt (read: struggled) with. While it was not easy, the knowledge that I have gained has more than prepared me for a new level of growth. I look forward to a change in pace and new experiences and can’t wait to uproot and be planted somewhere else. Here’s to unfurling my leaves.
When personal growth got hands.
